I recently got into MGK (Machine Gun Kelly). I had been hearing about him for a while but I didn't pay much mind to him. While flicking through channels a while back I went to MTV Hits and his video "Wild Boy" featuring Wacka Flocka was on. I instantly loved the song off the energy he gave in the video. His look, the wildness and freedom in the video caught my attention; plus the song was pretty good.

Like I do any artist I gave him a try and researched him and his music. Various interviews, blog posts, and his music sold me. I truly enjoy his music and his mentality. Even his tweets are hilarious, he says things I would say.

In the interview below, conducted February 3rd 2012, I feel like they didn't give him fair respect off of one factor, how do you interview someone and NOT research them? How do you not know the work artists that you are interviewing? Rosenberg compares MGK to Yelawolf and MGK comments how his music sounds nothing like Yelawolf which is correct. The two artists have nothing in common lyrically, from the way they rap to what they rap about. I believe it is unfair that just because they are both white that they get automatically compared.

Its 2012, Eminem is not the only white rapper and rap is definitely not about skin color, it is about potential and message. ABout being a voice people can relate to and/or enjoy. I agree with the statements MGK makes in this interview, and I agree with Rosenberg when he says that MGK is young and that his time of glory is coming. But if you truly gave MGK even a little background check you would applaud the accomplishments he has made at his young age and the vasts following he has.

Shout out to MGK for being a 1990 baby! This generation is not like the others. We are more motivated and more determine than previous years. This era is all new and changed, music is not the same, style, art, fashion is not the same. We are introducing the new wave for future generations to build on and branch a new.

Battle Ship

Last night I went to see "Red Tails" (GREAT movie, it's a must see). One of the previews was for the movie "Battleship," which looks interesting. What I was highly interested in was Rihanna who has a part in the movie. I am beyond hype to see her in a movie, hopefully she got good air time.

The movie is starring Liam Neeson, Rihanna, Alexnder Skarsgard, and Billy Slaughter. Battleship is a science fiction naval war film based on the game of the same name. It is a story of an international Navy fleet engaged in a very dynamic and intense battle against an alien race. This is Rihanna's acting debut.

Liam Neeson and Rihanna in a movie? I'm sold. Battleship 2012 movie hits theaters on May 18th 2012. If you haven't seen the preview for "Battleship" I've posted both trailer (number 2 then number 1).

Nicki Minaj dropped her new video "Stupid Hoe." Now there is alot of talk going on about it, some good some bad. Regardless Nicki does her job well, and that is to stay buzzing and relevant. We aren't too fond of the song but the video is quite interesting, and it does keep you watching to the end. By now we have to except that Nicki will always be over the top, beyond vivid, and will make moves that'll have the world questioning "what was she thinking."

This weekend Thirty Four D did the shooting for our series "Nudity Is Art." This is the first of many to come. Over here at 34D we believe that there is art in anything and every aspect of life. Stripped of censor is how we like to do and what better way then having gorgeous women in the bodies God blessed them with and some colorful body art. And no these photos aren't just for show, they will be printed on shirts.

The "Nudity Is Art" series is going to be on going series within the 34D line. Each shirt will bare a different female in different themes, colors, and poses. We will give you more on the series in the upcoming weeks, but for now check out a few photos from our first N.I.A. shoot.

I saw an gif image on tumblr and it blew my mind. So I had to get to googling! This video is a must watch! It is a shape shifting octopus!!!

It goes by Indonesian Mimic Octopus, Shape-shifting Octopus, whatever the name it is truly amazing. I changes shape, color, size, all in survival or hunt. It imitates snakes, wish, plants, it even can change its texture to that of what its copying.

"The Mimic Octopus, Thaumoctopus mimicus, is a species of octopus that has a strong ability to mimic other creatures. It grows up to 60 cm (2 feet) in length. Its normal colouring consists of brown and white stripes or spots.

Living in the tropical seas of South East Asia, it was not discovered officially until 1998, off the coast of Sulawesi. Hurricane Irene and the Prisoners on New York’s Rikers Island

“We are not evacuating Rikers Island,” Mayor Michael Bloomberg said in a news conference this afternoon. Bloomberg annouced a host of extreme measures being taken by New York City in preparation for the arrival of Hurricane Irene, including a shutdown of the public transit system and the unprecedented mandatory evacuation of some 250,000 people from low-lying areas. But in response to a reporter’s question, the mayor stated in no uncertain terms (and with more than a hint of annoyance) that one group of New Yorkers on vulnerable ground will be staying put.

According to the New York City Department of Corrections’ own website, more than three-quarters of Rikers Island’s 400 acres are built on landfill–which is generally thought to be more vulnerable to natural disasters. Its ten jails have a capacity of close to 17,000 inmates, and normally house at least 12,000, including juveniles and large numbers of prisoners with mental illness–not to mention pre-trial detainees who have yet to be convicted of any crime. There are also hundreds of corrections officers at work on the island.

For a warning of what can happen to prisoners in a hurricane we need only look back at Katrina, and the horrific conditions endured by inmates at Orleans Parish Prison in New Orleans. According to a report produced by the ACLU:

"[A] culture of neglect was evident in the days before Katrina, when the sheriff declared that the prisoners would remain “where they belong,” despite the mayor’s decision to declare the city’s first-ever mandatory evacuation. OPP even accepted prisoners, including juveniles as young as 10, from other facilities to ride out the storm.

As floodwaters rose in the OPP buildings, power was lost, and entire buildings were plunged into darkness. Deputies left their posts wholesale, leaving behind prisoners in locked cells, some standing in sewage-tainted water up to their chests …

Prisoners went days without food, water and ventilation, and deputies admit that they received no emergency training and were entirely unaware of any evacuation plan. Even some prison guards were left locked in at their posts to fend for themselves, unable to provide assistance to prisoners in need."

Thursday August 18th I got to watch Beyonce perform at the Roseland Ballroom. I was sectioned in the VIP balcony, it was so nice. I sat right behind Calvin Klein and Jay Z, across from me was Lady Gaga who wore this huge contraption on her head. I'm not fond of crowds but Beyonce's performance was so spectacular that I wish I was in the crowd, close and personal. Beyonce is definitely one of my role models and I was so honored to be there. That night was life giving.

My favorite part is when she broke down why she named her album "4". Obama was born August 4th, he was elected November 4th, he's our 44th President. Beyonce's mom was born January 4th, Beyonce herself was born September 4th, her man was born December 4th, and their anniversay is April 4th. By the way, my favorite number is 4, I was born April 4th 1990 (4.4.90) and Jay Z and Beyonce have always been my role models, way before they were together.

Unfortunately 1. I wasn't allowed to record the concert and 2. my camera and it's lens was "too big" to use, so I was only able to use it in the beginning; so enjoy what I was able to capture.

I recently got a new tattoo on my wrist this weekend by Ralfy @RalfyREVOLVER. Yes that is Kirby from Nintendo. For those of you not familiar with Kirby I'm going to give you a little run down on him and the game.

In most fighting video games the hero is usually intimadating, even Sonic the Hedge seems more rough than Kirby. But the truth is Kirby, this cute little pink puff ball, has the ability to easily eiher toss his enemies and demolish them, or inhabit their powers through their death. So the moral of the story and why I got the tattoo, do not underestimate your enemies. The thing you take lightly can be your demise.

Diddy Dirty Money at Hammestein

April 22nd I got to work behind the scenes of the Hammerstein for Diddy's Dirty Money concert. The experience was absolutely amazing. I got to meet so many people and the networking oppurtunities are once in a life time. It was defintiely a moment that gave me life.

It all started off with me chilling then h I was asked to assist with the VIP Meet and Greet packages. Soon after I was directing people to proper rooms. Next was setting up dressing rooms, checking people in at the front door, and so much more. It was great though, I had the all access pass which helped big time, I met people who worked for Interscope, Atlantic, Dirty Money, Ciroc Boyz, and much more.

Even though I didn't get to take photos with everyone in atendance there was Diddy, Dawn, Kaleena, Que, Black Rob, Tyga, Ashanti, Lloyd, Ja Rule, Faith Evans, Cassie, Jim Jones, Ajay from 106th and Park, the Prince of Saudi, Sachika Twins, Estee Lauder family, and tons more. The campaign was started to solve the problem of obesity the America is facing but focusing on the new generation growing up. It's so that children to grow up healthy and active.

On this day I wore a white H&M tee, grey Fragile jeans, black Coach sneakers, H&M hoodie, and my dark brown leather jacket. I met up with my friend Lasko and Hillary. We had sepreate plans but ended up getting together. We ended up stopping in random galleries, buying Jamba Juice for the first time and pigging out in Burger Creations. It was a good day.

These lines have been stuck in my head this weekend. It's from Drake's "The Resistance" off of his album "Thank Me Later." It relaxes me, and at this moment I relate to it. There's a lot of things and people I got to let go, a lot of things I got to accept, and a lot for me to focus on. Everyday is a new day, a new start. Don't drag yesterday's dirt onto today's clean slate.

On this day I woke up with a clouded mind. I wore a white Ambiance tee, faded blue ripped American Eagle jeans, Perry Ellis belt, H&M hoodie, MinneTonkia flats, Betsey Johnson shades, black Jesus piece, and bummed my roomie's grey Twenty One vest. I met up in the city with my friend Vaughn on 42nd, hit Shake Shack and amazingly got a seat. We then headed to the pillow fight on 14th street Union Square, stopping in different spots along the way including a Chinese antique furniture store and a couple Vintage shops. Shortly after we stopped by Crumbs and I got the LAST red velvet cupcake. We walked to Soho, sat and chilled in Duke's cafe. While there I wrote a list of my wants, needs, any and everything I want to focus on this year. After I wrote everything I felt relieved. In my head I felt as though there were a million things I was stressing and not keeping up with. Seeing it all written out helped me gain peace of mind. The main goal and focus, save. We ended meeting up with our friend Karieme who I went to JHS, HS, and College with. I ended my night by linking up with my younger than me but way taller than me friend Lasko, walked around St.Marks until I decided to call it a night and head uptown and get some rest for the 34D shoot the next day.

On this day I wore my Zoo York shades, Ralph Lauren jeans shirts, forever 21 white tee, tights and my Tommy Hillfiger rain boots. Woke up at 8 AM to get my 34D spring preview tees ready for Sunday's shoot. Then I worked from 12-7. Came home got two McDoubles with Big Mac sauce and a Watermelon Arizona. Paid my credit card bill. Shortly after I got off the phone my roomie went to Dunkin Donuts and even brought me back a large strawberry coolatta, three vanilla frosted, three strawberry frosted donuts. Now I'm about to tweet my night, write up this [confidental 34D business] and watch NCIS until Adult Swim comes on. BAWSE!

Recently I posted this photo on twitter. I appreciate all the compliments given to me on it, but the reason I posted this photo was to show what I represent. I don't wear make up, I don't have hair, I don't put on false nails, I don't have the bangest body, but the contents of who I am are what give me my appeal.

Outside

Hair: I cut off all my hair January 2nd 2011. I didn't cut it to be like Amber Rose, I cut it because I no longer wanted to have a perm in my hair, I wanted to go natural. It's March and I've continued to cut it because its just so simple to maintain, less stress and highlights my facial features.

Weight: I am not the baddest chick on the planet. I don't have Beyonce abs or Rihanna's long legs but I am gorgeous. In 2008 i weighed 167 pounds. In 2009 I dropped drastically to 132, not on purpose either. I was stressed, upset all the time, lacking sleep and didn't eat enough to give me the energy I needed to be staying up two-five days a week. As a matter fact one day I blackout and almost fainted on the train on my way to the city. It's 2011 now and I am proud to say I weigh 145 pounds; I was more comfortable weighing 167 though, I was happy in my weight. I recently started going to the gym, not to be the baddest chick, but because it's the right thing to do. You shouldn't have to take care of yourself because you want to impress others.

Tattoos: I have two large tattoos and four small ones. I intend on getting a full sleeve within the year. I have gotten both good and bad reviews on my tattoos, but when it boils down to it, if I never took a photo a lot of people wouldn't even know I had any. I don't get inked for show, I do it for self. I love tattoos, each of mine symbolize something deep, others may not understand it, but it isn't on them now is it?

Face: I had double chins for a long time, not anymore, sorta miss them, my friends loved making fun of it. I have a flat nose, I get it from my dad. i have chink eyes and high (usually placed) dimples I got from my mom, a big smile and fangs I got from my dad as well.

Feet: I wear size 9/10 in sneakers and boots, and 11 in heels. I have big feet, always have, when I was younger I was very self conscience about it, now I could care less. I have big hands as well.

Stomach: I have a belly, I don't have a flat stomach but I will still walk in the Spring and Summer in a crop top or bikini.

Breast: By now if you didn't know I am a 34D, hence the name of my line. The reason I named my line after my breast isn't because I'm conceited or obsessed with breast, my line being named 34D is another reflection of me. I am random, childish, and perverted, (there's a lot more too me though) but its all in fun, so why not name my line after Brenda and Kendra? They're awesome.

I use to get picked on a lot in junior high school, I was a tomboy and shy. I went to catholic school and chose to wear pants while all the girls chose to roll up my skirt. I wasn't "fresh" my family picked my clothes for me, it wasn't until 10th grade I actually started working, buying my own clothes and dressing good. But the clothes never made me though, I always was gorgeous. That's why these days I don't care what I throw on, and I still look good.

I fucking love who I am, and I don't compare myself to anybody. Now by this point you may ask "...what was the point of this post?" I did this post because I want you to go look in the mirror right now, whether its nude or with your clothes on, look at every inch of your body and just LOVE every inch of yourself. Nobody walking this earth surface is perfect, we can only be the best version of ourselves by loving ourselves inside and OUTSIDE!

There isn't anyone that can tell me I don't look good, that I don't have appeal, that I'm not that chick, because I already know I'm the best I can be, and I can only get better.

So it doesn't matter whether your hair is real or not, or if you have any at all, doesn't matter if your a A Cup or DD Cup, it doesn't matter if you got a gut, doesn't matter if you're really tall or short, or slim or fat, look in your mirror and whatever you think is wrong with you scratch it from your mind, just think about all that's right with you.

I'm comfortable in my skin, you should be too. I love my body, you should too. I love myself, you should too.

Earlier this week I tweeted "Want to know what's in the box?"

Well the black square on the right is what was in that box, I received the grey one yesterday.

I was on tumblr, posting and reblogging, when I stumbled across this ill little vintage polaroid camera. It was like something Barbie would have. I reblogged the photo and later that night out after handling 34D things I was bored and googled the Cool Cam 600 polaroid camera. To my surprise I found it! I came across the grey & pink and the red & black, I couldn't decide on which I wanted so I got both. I LOVE them! Now all I have to do is buy film for them lol.
